Given the ground breaking success of the Consumer Genetics Conference in June 2009, larger conference halls have been secured and the exhibitor space from last year will double.

Last year, the conference reached overcapacity in the talks, and was standing room only in many of the conference halls. The Hynes Convention Center has given the Conference Organizing Committee notice that it will not be as lenient in terms of numbers of attendees this year, and will strictly limit the number.

Pre-registration prices will be open through the end of January (although, we may sell out beforehand) and will be sold at a flat rate of $175 per registration. After January, ticket prices will increase above $200 for all registrant categories and tiered pricing will be implemented (which will be above $175 in all registrant categories).

The conference has established itself, as evidenced from the results of last year: from the "A list" of speakers, to the wide amount of media with camera crews filming on-site (3 major news networks and seven cable television stations).

We have listened to your suggestions, and have added:

  • More social events
  • Additional coffee breaks
  • We will also be holding an Awards Ceremony (voting will be open shortly) for those that have made the greatest contribution in the field

Due to the overwhelming requests to attend the 2010 conference, there will be no deep discounts on the registration fees - and registration will shut down when capacity is reached.
